I am really, really hating HSN.com right now.  Some great markdowns, but every thime I try to put something in my shopping cart it disappears and logs me off.  I really dont’ need to be spending extra money right now, but, this is annoying as hell.  I wrote to them about it, and their form response is totally irrelevant.  Disgusted! 

Going to check out the condoi again tomorrow.  New conract says “as is” and I don’t know if they changed or destroyed anything since I was there last.  Strange request, and I feel I need to check it out  Wish me  luck.

I have to give 30 days notice for my apartment, and nobody seems to know when we’ll close.  Scary at best.  Super stressed. 

I got a 2 lb package of Muenster cheese at Sam’s over the weekend.  It at gone up $3 since 2 weeks ago.  Milk and half & half went up a lot too.  With gas prices going down, I don’t get it.  Seems someone thinks if it’s a product we need (milk), it doesn’t matter how much they charge, we’ll buy it.  Great mentality.  Did you know that during WW II, in Germany there was a milk shortage, and they gave the babies beer, which apparently, and I don’t know why, has all the nutrients they need.  Wondering if  we should try it,  though not necessarily with babies.  Might make for a happier middle class.

Buzz & Bargains

Had a good weekend.  Saturday we took the LIRR to Penn Sta, and then NJ Transit to Trenton to visit family.  Laughed a lot and had a fun day.

 Sunday I went to one of my girls’ ‘(daughter’s BFF), bridal shower.  My daughter was official photographer, but I did find many nice people to talk to.  The bride seemed to be really surprised, and the cake was delicious.  It was a nice time.  (Must tell  you, I’ve been married twice, and nobody got me a Kitchenaid.  Maybe I need that 3rd time charm)

Have a busy weekend planned.  Going to my cousin’s home in PA to visit her, her husband, and my 95 year old aunt who will also be visiting.  Then my daughter and I are going to a bridal shower for one of my “other” kids.  I’ll let Hubby do the food shopping.  Now isn’t that scary?  We’ll probably be eating hot dogs and peanut butter all next week.

I did something proactive.  I ordered address labels with the new address, and they will be sent to the condo.  Wonder if I’ll be there to receive them.

I asked the office here for a 30 day notice form (they won’t accept a letter), and they gave me a notice to vacate, twice.  They’re not trying go evict me, at this  point it would be silly, even if I hadn’t paid my rent, which of course I had.  Apparently they don’t know the difference.  Sheesh.  Remember when I applied for a job here?  I see now why I wasn’t their type.

I’ve been running around and making calls to get things faxed, notarized and sent to my two lawyers and mortgage broker.  I was asleep when Hubby got home from work, and have to remember to have him sign more papers I need to fax before he goes to work. 

I’m having trouble with the mail carrier from hell.  He/she never tries to deliver packages, just leaves them at our complex office.  They’re not open at a time my husband can go there before or after work (don’t want them to work too hard).  It’s a bit far for me to walk, especially if I have to carry packages back.  I complained to the post office manager, and he told the carrier to pick up packages left in office,and deliver all  future packages to my door.  Spiteful SOB put my mail in someone else’s mailbox, left past packages in office, and delivered my 3 month supply of medicine, which I really need, to someone else’s apartment.  Person was nice enough to bring it to me.  I can’t believe this AH has a job, and I don’t.

Had to finish some paperwork this morning, so way off schedule.  I didn’t do anything but food shopping this weekend.  Hope you had more fun than that.  I’ll try to do something exciting by tomorrow to tell you about, or sleep, whichever comes first.  Feeling a bit exhausted lately, and honestly getting more sleep, though broken, than usual.

Found these on Ebay.  Anyone old enough to remember them?  My family didn’t, but just about everyone  else had them when I was a kid.  You couldn’t see the color of your beverage, and I remember us gals putting tons of food coloring in the guys drinks.  The next day they didn’t know why they were going in blue, green, and purple.  Hey, we had to amuse ourselves somehow before the age of computers.

Much to do today.  Have to finish reading and making corrections on a approx 200 page deposition.  Promised I’d mail it back tomorrow.  I need to start seriously throwing out all the junk I don’t want to move with.  Horrifying how much I have.  If anyone is starting up a new household, don’t buy anything till you check if I’m getting rid on one.  I’d rather see things go to people.  Goodwill will be getting a windfall too.  Since I’ll be out much of next weekend, I plan on doing a major purge Sunday.  Saturday I need to shop a bit, and pick up more cartons.  Saturday night I’ll start.  I wish my stomach would settle down.
