Pinecone Research is looking for survey takers. They pay $3 for every survey you do, and you get it the next day if you want it sent to Paypal. They’ll mail a check if you want. Many times I’ve received items to test, sometimes real nice. Might be worth a try. Surveys are medium length. Sometimes shorter.

No matter how much I pack, it doesn’t seem to make a dent. I guess, since we’re not having T-Day till Friday, we’ll be running back and forth from the condo all day Thursday. The drama’s beginning The fellow who’s truck was going to move the livingroom set is available, but his truck is in the hospital. Gotta see if I can rent something on this holiday weekend. Grrrr. It’s never easy.
I love me some salad, my favorite lunch. This is a nice coupon good till 12/2.
Aren’t these suede boots cute? Only $30. Free s&h with code CYBER2011.
My HandyFrank wasn’t interested in doing the shelving I need done before I unpack. so someone referred me to a HancyNick. Spoke to him yesterday, and he wants to come to the condo early T-Day morning to look at what I need done. We’re not having dinner on Thursday, so it works for us. We’ll bring some cartons and get a jump on the day. I figure we can make several trips. Saturday Hubby and guys from job are bringing the furniture over.Wish I could have done floor first, but will work around it. These are such nice people, it seriously brings a tear to my eye. Think I may get (actially buy) this area rug to put in front of tan sofa.

This is from RightatHome.com (via JusFreeStuff.com). If you check off that someone in your household has high cholesterol, and takes Lipitor, they’ll give you a $4 co-pay prescription card good for a year. This can really save you $$$. They’ll also send you a bunch of nice free samples. Not too long ago I got the Glade dispenser that goes off when you walk by, and refills for it. Also food samples, and zip lock type bags.
This one’s also from James. You may have to search around a bit, but it’s worth it. Nice gray baseball cap with your initials..

I’ll never be ready to move. My sister came out and helped pack yesterday. Really needed her. Thanks M. Still, soooo much to do. Condo needs a ton of work too. I’ll list at a later time when I’m not feeling so desperate.
On the bright side, I’m donating the furniture I bought from the nut job. It’s only money, right? I hate it now. One of Hubby’s coworkers is redoing his livingroom from the floor up, and giving us some much nicer furniture. One of these days I’ll go to a store and order exactly what I want, but not right now. Gotta fix the kitchen and put floor in livingroom first. People can be very, very nice. I have to keep remembering that.
This is from AllFreebies.com. For my fellow coffee lovers. I hope I can find the brand here. Free 12 oz bag.
Went to one of my girl’s (and boy’s) wedding today. She was beautiful, he was handsome, and they are so much in love. I never thought I was one to cry at weddings, but this time I shed a tear. The first of the 3 Musketeers (and D’Artagnon) to marry. Lovely wedding, and so much food. Truly, after the appetizer cuurse, nothing more was needed, but that didn’t stop me. Chateaubriand, which I feel guilty for not finishing. My daughter made a gorgeous bridesmaid, and we finally met her beau. Charming. Hubby even got up to dance with me. Great fun.
Stopped and the condo on the way back. Water is on. Gotta find out why there’s a dripping sound coming from the toilet. So much work to be done, that seems pretty minor. Hope I’m right.
Nice coupon. Bring to department store with you.
Went at 8 am to meet with the condo association person, Melissa, and we signed an s-load of paperwork. Not quite as bad as closing, but apparently necessary before we got our guest passes and bar code for the car ($14). It wasn’t painful, other than the lack of sleep. We would have slept there last night, but SCWA (water authority), who didn’t ask for written permission, wouldn’t turn the water on without it. The electric was on. A relief. Put a bottle os soda in the fridge. Making it homey?
My Aunt Ethel made this cake for some family dinner countless years ago, and Hubby fell madly in love with it. It’s a total cholesterol cake, so only for rare occasions. I make it in a bundt pan and bake it approx 50-60 minutes. Check with a toothpick. It’s very rich, and doesn’t need icing.
In a large mixing bowl add all of the ingredients. Stir well. Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch long narrow pan, lightly sprayed with Pam and floured, for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Still going slowly on the move, and I wish I could leave town and find everything done when I get back. Water and electric were turned off, so I had to get them turned on. Furniture I bought from seller ‘s girlfriend is not in the shape I originaslly saw it, and I’m going to donate it, if I can figure out where. Perhaps a woman’s shelter? The sofa and ottoman are convertible. Very grumpy lately.
This talking kitty made me smile.
