Went at 8 am to meet with the condo association person, Melissa, and we signed an s-load of paperwork. Not quite as bad as closing, but apparently necessary before we got our guest passes and bar code for the car ($14). It wasn’t painful, other than the lack of sleep. We would have slept there last night, but SCWA (water authority), who didn’t ask for written permission, wouldn’t turn the water on without it. The electric was on. A relief. Put a bottle os soda in the fridge. Making it homey?
My Aunt Ethel made this cake for some family dinner countless years ago, and Hubby fell madly in love with it. It’s a total cholesterol cake, so only for rare occasions. I make it in a bundt pan and bake it approx 50-60 minutes. Check with a toothpick. It’s very rich, and doesn’t need icing.
In a large mixing bowl add all of the ingredients. Stir well. Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch long narrow pan, lightly sprayed with Pam and floured, for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
